Bathurst 1000...on the home stretch

After a 250km drive from Merriwa in welcomed cooler conditions, Andrew finally arrived in Bathurst today. The arrival in the land of the V8 Supercars saw the Vauxhall experience a flat tyre, remarkably a first for the whole entire trip. The car is still going strong with some minor clutch issues, but on track to cross the Victorian border on Monday.

Andrew will spend the weekend participating in activities at the Bathurst 1000 with the honour of riding alongside driver Bob Morris in one of 10 cars in the pre-race demonstration.

The Vauxhall will have a rest before setting off on Monday for Woomargama Station, which has hosted some very special guests including then Governor of California, Ronald Reagan and his wife Nancy; Diana, Princess of Wales, Prince of Wales and their son, Prince William, who famously took his first steps at the station.

Andrew has currently raised an amazing $135,000 and is $10,000 off his target of $145,000. We cannot thank Andrew enough for his tireless effort and commitment to the Foundation and encourage you to help Andrew cross the finish line by making a donation here.
